Community Kitchen
In the true spirit of BMSS, the Banksia Cafe is giving back with the gift of food! The Community Kitchen is an initiative of our school tuckshop and a band of incredible staff, volunteers and community members. Collectively, and with your support, we cook and serve meals to our school community whenever and wherever there is need
It all starts with Breakfast Club, which runs every Tuesday morning during the school term from 8am until 8:35am. Breakfast Club is a completely FREE social breakfast for BMSS students. Because breakfast matters!
Not only does Breakfast Club help to normalise breakfast nutrition for kids, it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and to catch up with friends, teachers, Chappy Alexia and our amazing volunteers.
Community Kitchen Cook-Ups
Each term, an altruistic group of volunteers gather together to make meals for families in need throughout our community. In a couple of short hours at Banksia Cafe, the team make a wide range of delicious and nutritious meals in a fun and friendly atmosphere!
